FROM ANT TO EAGLE Shortlisted for School Reading Awards

As the school year kicks off across the continent, it gives us immense pleasure to announce that our critically acclaimed, FROM ANT TO EAGLE by Alex Lyttle, has been shortlisted for two more major school reading programs.

Last fall, it was shortlisted for the Silver Birch Fiction Award, which is the library reading program run by the Ontario Library Association.  Ten books were selected which were then read by tens of thousands of kids, who then voted for their favourite book on the list. The winner was announced in May, and it was From Ant to Eagle!

This fall, the accolades are growing, as the book has now been added to similar programs in British Columbia and Alberta. The Red Cedar Book Award is administered by the BC Library Association and the Rocky Mountain Book Award is run by several library associations in Alberta.

We are beyond thrilled that children across Canada will be reading and discussing our book. Thank you to some of our favourite people, librarians, for your support of this book and of Canadian reading.
